Happy Clogs

Rise and shine with two brilliantly different eyes
Since Paula unveiled her handy work this morning -- from a brown paper bag to be exact, I have been giggling like a kid every time i gaze down at my clogs, can you see why,  just a little?? I mean, these are MEGA AWESOME!!!
The tatoo artist with my new "i-heart"
I am a fan of this adorable fan!

Paula, thank you for putting all my favorite things on 2 clogs!

Lovely quail on Paula's arm, one of many on her cute self.

What a tender aged Johnny! I found this issue

Make a Yarn Shop Stop

A client of mine is well-known crochet designer, I've been wanting to take her classes ever since she told me what is possible by the end of 4 sessions -- make my own little vest. So I paid a visit to Stitch Point for registration, a local yarn shop where her classes are held. These ivory and silk bundles grabbed me immediately, not to make that little vest I've been dreaming of, but necklaces!
Punchy and fun for summer; shimmering for fall.

Will I learn how to do this, too? :)
I think it's calling for a crisp white shirt!

Make a yarn shop stop soon, you'll never know what might fun ideas might bubble up!

Bag'em Up

A hand-me-down purse gets 3 new looks. Straps from top: a short springy belt; saches from two dresses.

Love my purse finds at Wild n Crazy Vintage (336.272.WILD)
Middle black one, a distillary bag made perfect as a purse.
An old bottle of booze did come with it, i admire it on the shelf.
Olive green, chic & yummy.

Vintage Eigners were made to last. (bottom left)
This navy and white little number has cool ropey handles. (top)
Multi-pleated coin purse, plus-sized to marry functionality and lady-like prettiness. (bottom right)
More fun finds from Wild n Crazy.
Vintage Coach under 20 bucks, can't beat that. (bottom left)
This one looks like a shrunken Reed Krackoff, thankfully it did not shrink my wallet. (bottom middle)
Who says vintage purses are all dainty? 'Love this yellow one, bold in every way.

This vintage Samsonite is top top top. Doesn't a good messenger bag make you feel more purposeful? :)

Belting It Out

I may only have 2 sweaters, but there is a drawl-full of belts to accessorize.

I love a versatile belt, like this one with movable rings!

A dash of sunny-dee.

This old J.Crew number has been with me since college.

Nice hand-me-down beaded flower belt.

Calico-esque

Black and tan, classic.

Got the mouse buckles from Wild & Crazy Vintage; added my own belt.

A reversable belt means one can double dip.

Pretty Chinois.

Glamorized armors, mini size.

This wraps like a present.

Get Well Soon

My throat was the dessert... The occasional sandy air flow sends me out of REM sleep, up from the bed hacking. All efforts to move my body were futile. I propped on the spud bag, blinded by achy-ness from all directions, throbbing like strobe lights on a bad hang-over, playing Shostakovtich (piano trio)in my head. Getting up, walking into the kitchen to make a protein shake cost more energy than I took in. They weren't joking when they say:" Starve a fever". It's more like "the fever will starve you".

After three days of liquids, the first thing I craved was chicken legs. Then I parade around the house in my "skinny day" jeans, beaming, all of 10 minutes I lasted until week knees and dizzy head called me to nap again. I like to nap, except all morning long workers have been drilling non-stop; my neighbor blasted the TV volume in hope to override that. Alas, true zen can exist amidst of chaos. I have either reached acceptance or letting go, both are fine with me for I did not have much strength to hold on at the moment.

Still, I managed to do a lot of nothing, but a lot in my head.

Dressing up perhaps?! That will lift my spirits! I mustered all energy to change into a few outfits. Proud by the effort, drained by the process, I am due for another nap now.

Fake zippers, real cool.
