Nuts and Tea, anyone?

Start with the best duet of macadamia nuts -- coffee glazed and chocolate toffee.

The golden ratio: 2 coffee glaze per 1 chocolate toffee.

Chase it down with this delicious yuzu tisane tea, from Trader Joe's.

after popping a few handful of nuts, this tea is a perfect conclusion.

A lit'l rice will do ya good

I was taking pictures of some food I made on my birthday, hoping to turn out a post on good eats...

Olive Tapenade with tofu, suprisingly good.

Then I dropped my camera, into the food -- oily, salty, saucey tapenade! My appetite came to a screeching halt and the fear of ruining a pretty new camera filled my throat, about to burst into something almost as salty and watery as my food.

After my best cleaning efforts, the camera was casting a "permanent" shadow in each shot.

RICE! What a brilliant last resort. It worked for my phone that was dropped into a puddle of water, why not this?!

I took out all the components and prayed that bag of rice will miraculously soak up all the grease and liquid from the camera...

It did! Literally overnight, the camera started taking clear shots like this one! My little heroes in a bag!
A week later, that poor camera probably came in contact with some salty ocean mist.
At least the purple tint is artistic...

Guess where the camera is sleeping tonight? You've got it, in a bag of rice. Night night!

Words for 34

My mom gave me these words on my birthday this year, personalized verses inspired by Thoreau:

To hear beyond the range of sound,
To see beyond the range of light,
                                               To pursue the rainbow,
and embrace it in the next mountain.

Mom has taught me to make my own path.

Enjoy the full spectrum

Have fun, even in a jam.
Dip my toes in new water, or just dive in.

I must add this in case of draught -- make your own water! Thank you mom... xxxooo

Captain Jack's Genesis

What a tender aged Johnny! I found this issue

Make a Yarn Shop Stop

A client of mine is well-known crochet designer, I've been wanting to take her classes ever since she told me what is possible by the end of 4 sessions -- make my own little vest. So I paid a visit to Stitch Point for registration, a local yarn shop where her classes are held. These ivory and silk bundles grabbed me immediately, not to make that little vest I've been dreaming of, but necklaces!
Punchy and fun for summer; shimmering for fall.

Will I learn how to do this, too? :)
I think it's calling for a crisp white shirt!

Make a yarn shop stop soon, you'll never know what might fun ideas might bubble up!
